Covenant University, one of the foremost private institutions of higher learning in West Africa has signed a memorandum of understanding for information technology programmes with a multi-national software company SAP.

The SAP corporate masters programme will commence in the university for students of the College of Science and Technology (CST) and College of Business and Social Sciences (CBS) via the SAP Universities Alliance under SAP Education.

Speaking on the development, the Chancellor of Covenant University, Bishop David Oyedepo, said the alliance was aligned with the mandate of the university to produce world class graduates.

The Chancellor stated, “Provision of in-depth knowledge and world-class skills through collaboration with world-class organizations such as SAP AG, with curricula designed with very strong vocational and professional emphasis as well as practical industrial and research based projects, is very crucial in the drive to tackle the ever increasing graduate unemployment in Nigeria and especially amongst professional engineers.”

Upon successful completion of the programme, students would receive an academic degree from Covenant University and an internationally accepted SAP consultant certification.
