NCC Aims To Sanction MTN Over Poor Quality of Service

By on May 4, 2012

MTN has been queried by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) over the poor quality of its services.

The telecommunications regulatory body has inquired from MTN to provide details on why it should not be sanctioned by the body for its poor services especially in Lagos. The NCC made the inquiries in a letter written to MTN.

Excerpts of the letter read, ““It has also been brought to our notice that the MTN Switch in Lagos is down and MTN has neither informed its subscribers nor communicated this unfortunate development to the Commission as required.”

“Please note that failure to respond as directed might result in the commission invoking its powers to sanction MTN appropriately.”
