Investors exchange 342.89 million shares on Friday

Transactions at the Nigerian Stock Market on the last trading day of the week ended with investors exchanging 342.89 million shares worth N4.35 billion in 5,401 deals.

This was in contrast to the 343.35 million shares worth N4.03 billion that was traded on Thursday in 5,415 deals.

The market capitalisation of listed entities on Friday depreciated by N10 billion or 0.07 percent to close at N13.005 billion as against Thursday’s closing figure of N13.015 trillion.

The NSE All Share Index, ASI, equally closed lower at 40,571.62 basis points losing by 30.12 points or 0.07 percent when compared with Thursday’s closing figure of 40,601.74 basis points.

Guinness topped the losers chart on Friday with a loss of N4.00 in its share price to close at N222.00 per share.

Nigerian Breweries was second losing N2.95k in its share price to close at N156.50k per share while Unilever in third spot lost N1.00 in its share price to close at N54.00 per share.

UACN was fourth losing N0.99k in its share price to close at N68.01k per share while Zenith Bank was last on the chart with a share price loss of N0.60k to close at N23.30k per share.

However, Nestle led the gainers chart with a share price gain of N4.05k to close at N1,125.00 per share.

Mobil followed with a gain of N3.35k in its share price to close at N123.50k per share while UAC Property in third spot gained N0.95k in its share price to close at N19.99k per share.

CAP Plc was fourth gaining N0.69k in its share price to close at N47.68k per share while NASCON in last spot added N0.66k to its share price to close at N13.87k per share.

The top five trades by volume chart on Friday was led by FCMB with 63.75million shares worth N245.02 million.

UBA Capital was second with 26.02 million shares worth N54.24 million while FBNH was third with 22.68 million shares worth N327.52 million.

Oando was fourth with 22.02 million shares worth N416.62 million while GTB was last on the chart with 20.57 million shares valued at N568.26 million.
