NSE ASI gains by 0.28% on Friday

Transactions at the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, ended on Friday on a bullish trend as the All Share Index, ASI, closed higher at 41,480.62 basis points to gain by 117.57 points or 0.28 percent when compared with Thursday’s closing figure of 41,363.05 basis points.

The market capitalisation of listed entities equally appreciated by N37 billion or 0.28 percent to close on Friday at N13.274 trillion as against Thursday’s closing figure of N13.237 trillion.

ETI led the top five trades by volume chart on Friday with 35 million shares worth N595.07 million.

Oando followed with 34.62 million shares valued at N900.39 million while Zenith Bank was third with 19.08 million shares worth N442.96 million.

FBNH was fourth with 18.43 million shares worth N285.67 million while Transcorp was last on the chart with 17.55 million shares worth N70.94 million.

Oando led the gainers chart on Friday appreciating by N2.44k in its share price to close at N26.33k per share.

WAPCO was second with a share price gain of N2.00 to close at N115.00 per share while Guinness in third spot gained N1.40k in its share price to close at N237.00 per share.

Unilever was fourth gaining N1.20k in its share price to close at N53.00 per share while Flour mill was last on the chart with a gain of N1.02k in its share price to close at N89.06k per share.

However, Nestle led the losers chart shedding N10.04k in its share price to close at N1,160.01k per share.

Nigerian Breweries was second with a loss of N1.00 in its share price to close at N165.00 per share while UBN in third spot lost N0.35k in its share price to close at N10.10k per share.

Pharmadeko was fourth with a share price loss of N0.08k to close at N1.68k per share while ETI was last on the chart losing N0.06k in its share price to close at N17.00 per share.

At the close of Friday’s transactions, investors traded 294.99 million shares worth N6.09 billion in 5,867 deals as against the 322.28 million shares worth N3.25 billion that was exchanged in 5,509 deals on Thursday.
