HCL Infosystems launch tablets for Nigerian market
Indian Systems Integration services and Hardware company, HCL Infosystems has revealed its plans to join the Tablet market chase for the Nigerian market, with the release of its products, the ME tablets.
The three new ME tablet devices which are the Y3, U2 and the V1 has become the key spinners in the tablet market in the Middle East. Now the Company is looking at translating that market success to Nigeria, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania will be on display at the leading stores from February 2013.
Speaking on the Launch, the Business Head for Middle East and Africa Operations of HCL systems limited, Mr Srinath Nagarajan said “We are very excited to launch our new range of ME tablets. The launch comes as part of our commitment to offer the best in technology and continue our innovation and leadership in the value category of tablets.”
He further stated “We have made huge investments in research to develop innovations that would enable us to deliver devices to a larger customer base, making technology more accessible. Understanding the need to cater to individual preferences of our customers and resonating the brand message – Change Begins with ME, we wish to meet and exceed their expectations in technology by delivering an amazing user experience.”
He described Africa as a viable, strategic and competitive market with great possibilities for technological growth and advancement, considering the fact that the European, American and Asian Market are saturated.
On the technological framework and capacity of the ME Tablet, Mr Nagarajan explained that “the tablet has an 8GB internal memory where one can store all their favorite movies, photos, games and is also externally expandable through 32GB micro SD card. It also comes preloaded with Thinkfree Office which enables to create and edit office documents on the go”.
Speaking on the features, he said the HCL ME V1 tablet had a combining fashion and sturdiness in an elegant form, noting that it has an inbuilt voice calling system, having the integrated phone functions of voice calling and integrated SIM slots, with an HDMI connectivity port.
