Drake Sells Miami Condominiums for 26% Profit

Multi-platinum record selling rapper and singer Drake has sold two condominiums he purchased in January 2011 for a 26% profit. The condominiums are located in the Biscayne area of Miami, Florida.

The musician seemed to be attached to the apartments as he rapped about them in his recent  hit single, YOLO (You Only Live Once). The lyrics go “Wrist blancpain, got a condo up in Biscayne”.

The condominum was also the scene for the video for the DJ Khaled single “I’m On One” featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Drake.

The rapper purchased the condos for $ 1.9 million and recently sold it to Mario Chalmers, an American professional basketball player with the Miami Heat franchise.

According to Forbes,  “Located in the swank Marquis Residences, a mixed-use high rise towering over Biscayne Bay, the apartments total 5,475 square feet of living space that includes 20 foot ceilings, balconies overlooking the bay and “custom walls” that provide soundproofing for the space. The larger of the two pads, priced at $1.9 million, touts three bedrooms, three and a half baths and a marble staircase between its two floors. A fourth bedroom was converted into a media room. The other pad, priced at $599,000, boasts one bedroom, one and a half baths and a den.”

“Drake is said to have already purchased a new home for himself: a $9 million mansion in Hidden Hills, Calif, according to Vibe Magazine. The Los Angeles-area estate includes a five-stall horse barn, tennis court, volleyball court, 24-seat home theater and a pool area complete with “caves” touting a wet bar.”
