NBCC advises Nigerians on economic opportunities

The President of Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), Prince Dapo Adelegan has advised Nigerians to look beyond the limitations created by the present economic situation and see opportunities for growth and inventions.
The president stated this during the induction of new members at the Chamber’s first Members Evening of the year held in Lagos recently.

The President who was represented by the Deputy President of NBCC, Mr. Akin Olawore encouraged members to exploit the present situation to come up with different export initiatives that would improve them individually and the country at large.
“We know the economy is very bad but we can’t stop doing business. For every challenge there are opportunities to be exploited. We really need to start looking at those business opportunities and how we can exploit them as a Chamber and as members”, Adelegan said.
Adelegan who charged members to do business with each other also called on other organisations to join the Chamber so as to enjoy the numerous benefits of membership.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Chamber to promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria through trade missions, particularly the NBCC Export Nigeria Initiative, a private sector driven initiative designed to enhance export of best of Nigerian products to the UK.
Also speaking at the induction, Assistant General Manager Marketing, LASACO Assurance Plc. Mr. Akintunde Akinyanju, harped on the importance of insurance policy on all facets of life and urged corporate organisations to embrace relevant insurance policies to secure investments.

The newly inducted firms include: Wole Olanipekun & Co., Sterling Trust Company Limited, Vatad Solicitors, Precise Logistics & Cargo Limited, Olajide Oyewole & Co, and NEO Media & Marketing Limited.
Others are Zest Global Logistics Limited, P.S Orchid Group, PJK Nigeria Limited, Advocaat Law Practice, Dotrubik Associates Limited and Everest Farms Limited.
