Imo State woos more investors

The newly appointed Imo Liaison Officer in Lagos, Barrister Steve Asimobi has charged members of staff of the Liaison office to join hands with the Imo State Government to attract investors to the state, so as to create job opportunities for the people, as well as establish industries and other necessary infrastructure in the state.

Asimobi, who recently took over from Mr. Alfred Ononugbo assured of a good working relationship with all members of staff of the Liaison office but urged them to reciprocate by being diligent and committed to their duties.

He directed that all liaison staffers must strictly observe mid-day prayers and dress code, which are among the policies of Imo State Government. “Any Staff who fails to adhere to this policy must be punished accordingly.”

Asimobi further highlighted some of his numerous projects, as establishment of Imo State rebranding shop in Lagos to showcase the achievements, proposals and developmental projects of Governor Okorocha. “Owelle Rochas Okorocha increased the Internally Generated Revenue collection in Imo Lagos Office. He also introduced monthly cleanup exercise for all Staff, as well as Best Staff Monthly award etc.”

The Liaison Officer pledged his support to the Governor and vouched to implement the policy thrusts of the Imo State Government in his area of operation.

In his response, the Acting Director, Administration and Finance at the Lagos Liaison Office, Barrister Onyeukwu Ugo, expressed gratitude for the cooperation and teamwork spirit the new Liaison Officer is exhibiting.

Ugo, who spoke on behalf of other members of staff commended the Asimobi for convening a meeting the staff as that gave them the opportunity to know one another.

He also pledged the unflinching support and cooperation of all Liaison Staff for the State government to achieve her goals.
