No plan to ground air operations – NCAA
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has said that there was no plan for the workers of the aviation agencies embark on strike and ground airline operation as was earlier indicated.
Reports on Saturday indicated that the aviation unions, including the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), the Air Transport Service Senior Staff Association (ATSSSAN) and the National Association Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) issued a statement that the bodies would ground air operations by Sunday night.
The grouse of the unions was the failure of NCAA management to look into industrial problems affecting ATSSSAN branch of the agency, which led to dissention between the branch and the national leadership.
