Incessant building collapses not a function of 32.5 cement grade – Rabiu

The Chairman of Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN), Abdulsamad Rabiu,  has said that the incessant collapse of buildings across Nigeria cannot be linked to the use of cements with 32.5 standard specifications.
Rabiu said at the 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of CCNN in Abuja that claims that the 32.5 cement grade was responsible for building collapses in Nigeria were false, adding that all were parts of the ongoing politics to justify Nigeria conversion from the 32.5 quality grade to 42.5.
He said that nothing was wrong with the 32.5 cement grade and that irrespective of increase in the activities of terrorists in Northern Nigeria which is CCNN’s market stronghold, its flagship product, Sokoto Cement was able to post a 2013 year-end turnover of N15, 787,110,932.
