Fidelity unveils solution for Verve, MasterCard users

In a bid to boost customers’ confidence, Fidelity Bank Plc has unveiled a security solution which would protect the bank’s Verve and MasterCard users.

The bank explained in a statement that the solution is applicable to all its customers during their online transactions.

In his remark, the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, said the solution would assist customers accomplish transactions in the areas of airtime recharge, tickets booking, and general shopping respectively.

He also observed that customers would be sent a one-time-password on their registered mobile phones to enhance security during transactions.

Furthermore, Okonkwo explained the solution would enable customers use the code to complete their transactions even if someone else had seen their card details.

According to him; “that person will also need to have their phones to conclude the transactions.”

Meanwhile, speaking on behalf of Okonkwo, the Divisional Head, Electronic Banking, Fidelity Bank, Mr. Adedeji Olowe noted the initiative is in addition to the security system that the bank had already put in place, which constantly scan customers’ transactions for unusual activities.

“Also our Visa cards have iPIN, which provides additional layer of security when doing internet transactions.

“Fidelity Bank takes customers’ security banking transactions very serious and we believe you should be cashless with ease while we take care of the small details,” he added.
