Dana Air gets new flight operations director

Dana Air has appointed Mr Francois Bouteiller as its Director of Flight Operations.

A statement signed by the airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Yvan Drewinsky, said that the appointment was aimed at raising Dana Air’s level of operations.

The statement issued in Lagos was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday.

“We will continue to review our operations with a view to sustaining standards in the industry.

“Our commitment is to recruit the right personnel to occupy and manage our operations in line with global best practices.

“Dana Air has successfully undergone an operational audit conducted by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority Flight Safety Group in partnership with foreign partners,” it said.

It described Bouteiller as a seasoned aviation expert with more than 25 years experience in aircraft operations.

It noted that Bouteiller had functioned in different capacities, ranging from policy formulation to commander of airplanes.

According to the airline, prior to the appointment, Bouteiller worked in a similar capacity with the NASAIR and Swiss International airlines.
