Investors trade 463.09 million shares on Friday
Transactions at the Nigerian Stock Market ended on Friday with investors trading 463.09 million shares worth N4.37 billion in 5,825 deals.
This was in contrast with the 347.95 million shares worth N3.91 billion that was exchanged on Thursday in 6,462 deals.
The market capitalisation of listed entities, on Friday, rose to N13.364 trillion gaining by N3 billion or 0.02 percent from Thursday’s closing figure of N13.361 trillion.
The NSE All Share Index, ASI, equally closed higher at 41,751.55 basis points appreciating by 10.78 points or 0.02 percent when compared with Wednesday’s closing figure of 41,740.77 basis points.
Transcorp led the top five trades by volume chart on Friday with 70.20 million shares worth N286.54 million.
FCMB followed with 54.03 million shares valued at N216.11 million while Africa Prudentials was third with 33.46 million shares worth N102.28 million.
UBA was fourth with 32.07 million shares worth N288.61 million while Diamond Bank was last on the chart with 26.49 million shares worth N210.55 million.
Nestle topped the losers chart on Friday with a loss of N10.00 in its share price to close at N1,165.00 per share.
Forte Oil was second with a share price loss of N3.00 to close at N83.00 per share while Julius Berger in third spot lost N2.40k in its share price to close at N65.10k per share.
Oando was fourth losing N1.10k in its share price to close at N25.60k per share while Nigerian Breweries was last on the chart with a loss of N0.79k in its share price to close at N165.20k per share.
However, UACN led the gainers chart with an increase of N1.00 in its share price to close at N70.00 per share.
Flour Mill was second with a share price gain of N0.90k to close at N88.00 per share while GTB in third spot gained N0.43k in its share price to close at N28.50k per share.
PZ followed gaining N0.43k in its share price to close at N38.15k per share while CCNN was last on the chart with a gain of N0.41k in its share price to close at N10.87k per share.
