Investors trade 380.64 million shares on Monday

Transactions at the Nigerian Stock Market on the first trading day ended with investors trading 380.64 million shares valued at N4.47 billion in 6,222 deals.

This was in contrast with the 294.99 million shares worth N6.09 billion that was exchanged in 5,867 deals last Friday.

The NSE All Share Index, ASI, on Monday, dipped by 39.43 points or 0.09 percent to close at 41,441.19 basis points as against last Friday’s closing figure of 41,480.62 basis points.

The market capitalisation of listed entities equally depreciated by N9 billion or 0.07 percent to close at N13.265 trillion as against last Friday’s closing figure of N13.274 trillion.

Unity Bank led the top five trades by volume chart on Monday with 46.74 million shares worth N23.37 million.

Oando was second with 36.72 million shares worth N1 billion while UBA Capital was third with 30.85 million shares valued at 67.15 million.

Transcorp was fourth with 30.78 million shares valued at N125.38 million while FCMB was last on the chart with 30.69 million shares worth N118.42 million.

Mobil led the gainers chart on Monday with an increase of N2.50k in its share price to close at N119.80k per share.

UACN followed with a share price gain of N1.85k to close at N68.85k per share while Total in third spot gained N1.58k in its share price to close at N177.04k per share.

Stanbic was fourth gaining N0.50k in its share price to close at N22.00 per share while Julius Berger was last on the chart with a gain of N0.35k in its share price to close at N8.80k per share.

However, Nestle topped the losers chart shedding N3.98k in its share price to close at N1,156.03k per share.

Nigerian Breweries was second with a loss of N1.99k in its share price to close at N163.01k per share while Flour mill was third losing N1.65k in its share price to close at N87.41k per share.

NNFM was fourth with a share price loss of N1.15k to close at N22.01k per share while Ashaka Cement was last on the chart with a loss of N1.05k in its share price to close at N20.12k per share.
