Investors exchange 322.28 million shares on Thursday

Transactions at the Nigerian Stock Market ended on Thursday with investors exchanging 322.28 million shares worth N3.25 billion in 5,509 deals.

This was in contrast with the 361.31 million shares valued at N3.84 billion that was traded on Wednesday in 6,411 deals.

The NSE All Share Index, on Thursday, closed lower at 41,363.05 basis points dipping by 467.84 points or 1.12 percent when compared with Wednesday’s closing figure of 41,830.89 basis points.

The market capitalisation of listed entities equally depreciated by N150 billion or 1.12 percent to close on Thursday at N13.237 trillion as against Wednesday’s closing figure of N13.387 trillion.

Mobil led the gainers chart on Thursday with an increase of N5.58k in its share price to close at N117.30k per share.

Conoil followed appreciating by N2.42k in its share price to close at N52.40k p;er share while Oando in third spot gained N2.21k in its share price to close at N23.89k per share.

CAP Plc was fourth with a share price gain of N1.28k to close at N47.98k per share while UAC-Property was last on the chart with a gain of N0.50k in its share price to close at N20.90k per share.

However, Dangote Cement led the losers chart with a loss of N10.00 in its share price to close at N230.00 per share.

WAPCO was second losing N2.00 in its share price to close at N113.00 per share while Nigerian Breweries in third spot lost N1.60k in its share price to close at N166.00 per share.

Unilever was fourth with a loss of N1.44k in its share price to close at N51.80k per share while Champion Breweries was last on the chart with a share price loss of N0.84k to close at N16.07k per share.

Unitykapital led the top five trades by volume chart on Thursday with 30.15 million shares worth N15.08 million.

Transcorp followed with 29.55 million shares worth N119.25 million while Unity Bank was third with 22.76 million shares valued at N11.38 million.

Japaul oil was fourth with 21.47 million shares worth N12.82 million while Zenith Bank was last on the chart with 19.57 million shares worth N450.44 million.
