Investors trade 417.49 million shares on Tuesday

Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, ended on Tuesday with investors trading 417.49 million shares worth N6.34 billion in 6,448 deals.

This was in contrast with the 326.06 million shares valued at N2.91 billion that was exchanged in 5,365 deals on Monday.

The market capitalisation of listed entities, on Tuesday, rose to N13.379 trillion to gain by N96 billion or 0.72 percent from Monday’s closing figure of N13.283 trillion.

The NSE All Share Index, ASI, equally closed higher at 41,806.73 basis points appreciating by 299.43 points or 0.72 percent when compared with Monday’s closing figure of 41,507.30 basis points.

Dangote cement led the gainers chart on Tuesday with an increase of N11.00 in its share price to close at N235.00 per share.

UACN was second with a gain of N3.35k in its share price to close at N70.35k per share while Cadbury in third spot gained N1.66k in its share price to close at N58.27k per share.

UAC-Property was fourth gaining N0.97k in its share price to close at N20.52k per share while Okomu oil was last on the chart appreciating by N0.16k in its share price to close at N43.66k per share.

However, Total led the losers chart shedding N6.50k in its share price to close at N175.46 per share.

Conoil followed losing N5.97k in its share price to close at N55.35K per share while Oando in third spot lost N2.34k in its share price to close N21.73k per share.

Guinness was fourth with a share price loss of N1.87k to close at N238.08k per share while Presco was last on the chart losing N1.50k in its share price to close at N37.50k per share.

FBNH led the top five trades by volume chart on Monday with 78.35 million shares worth N1.26 billion.

Unity Bank was second with 32.36 million shares worth N16.18 million while Resortsal was third with 30 million shares worth N15 million.

NEM was fourth with 24.71 million shares valued at 24.71 million shares worth N21.89 million while UBA was last on the char with 24.03 million shares worth N221.88 million.
