Market Cap gains N68 billion on Tuesday

The bullish trend continued at the Nigerian Stock Market on Tuesday as the market capitalisation of listed entities closed higher at N12.461 trillion gaining by N68 billion or 0.55 percent when compared with Monday’s closing figure of N12.393 trillion.

The NSE All Share Index, ASI, equally rose to 38,961.60 basis points to gain by 214.09 points or 0.55 percent from Monday’s closing figure of 38,747.51 basis points.

At the close of Tuesday’s transactions, investors traded 701.33 million shares valued at N3.3 billion in 5,393 deals as against the 676.39 million shares worth N3.49 billion that was exchanged in 4,776 deals on Monday.

Unity Bank led the top five trades by volume chart on Tuesday with 432.35 million shares worth N221.17 million.

It was followed by Transcorp with 49.95 million volume of shares valued at N200.45 million while Zenith Bank was third with 24.89 million shares worth N523.65 million.

GTB was fourth with 17.17 million shares worth N462.89 million while WAPIC was last on the chart with 15.37 million shares valued at N15.37 million.

Nestle led the losers chart on Tuesday shedding N45.10k in its share price to close at N1,129.90k per share.

Flour mill was second losing N6.72k in its share price to close at N85.08k per share while CAP Plc in third spot lost N1.55k in its share price to close at N48.45k per share.

Okomu oil was fourth with a share price loss of N0.50k to close at N42.50k per share while ETI was last on the chart with a loss of N0.40k in its share price to close at N14.60k per share.

However, Nigerian Breweries led the gainers chart by adding N5.86k to its share price to close at N167.00 per share.

WAPCO was second with a gain of N5.00 in its share price to close at N111.00 per share while Dangote Cement was third gaining N4.97k in its share price to close at N200.00 per share.

Cadbury was fourth with a share price gain of N1.68k to close at N63.68k per share while Guinness was last on the chart with a gain of N1.00 in its share price to close at N260.00 per share.
