Investors trade 786.39 million shares on Tuesday

Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, ended
on Tuesday with investors trading 786.39 million shares valued at
N4.85 billion in 5,211 deals.

This was in contrast to the 862.69 million shares worth N5.71 billion
that exchanged hands in 5,639 deals on Monday.

The NSE All Share Index, ASI, closed higher at 38,225.86 basis points
gaining by 202.11 points or 0.53 percent when compared with Monday’s
closing figure of 38,053.75 basis points.

The market capitalisation of entities on the main board also rose to
N12.236 trillion appreciating by N65 billion or 0.53 percent from
Monday’s closing figure of N12.171 trillion.

Nestle topped the top five gainers chart with a gain of N21.22k in its
share price to close at N1,200.00 per share while Dangote Cement was
second gaining N3.00 in its share price to close at N190.00 per share.

UACN in third spot gained N1.50k in its share price to close at N65.00
per share while Oando was fourth with a share price gain of N1.31k to
close at N14.12k per share.

Transcorp was last on the chart with a gain of N0.41k in its share
price to close at N4.41k per share.

However, MRS was ahead of others on the losers chart shedding N3.90k
in its share price to close at N52.00 per share.

GSK was second losing N3.35k in its share price to close at N63.65k
per share while Conoil was third with a loss of N3.30k in its share
price to close at N68.90k per share.

Mobil was fourth with a share price loss of N2.90k to close at N116.00
per share while CAP Plc was last on the chart with a loss of N2.58k in
its share price to close at N49.07k per share

The top five trades by volume chart on Tuesday was led UBA Capital
with 250.09 million shares worth N322.68 million.

Transcorp was second with 99.92 million volume of shares valued at
N439.09 million while Afriprud was third with 63.25 million shares
worth N123.94 million.

ETI was fourth with 53.81 million shares worth N750.61 million while
Unity Bank was last on the chart with 42.13 million shares valued at
N22.44 million.
