NSE ASI gains by 0.29% on Friday
Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, ended for the week with the All Share Index, ASI, gaining by 110.67 points or 0.29 percent to close at 37,883.53 basis points higher than Thursday’s closing figure of 37,772.86 basis points.
The market capitalisation of entities on the main board also closed higher at N12.117 trillion to gain by N50 billion or 0.41 percent when compared with Thursday’s closing figure of N12.067 trillion.
CWG led the top five trades by volume chart on Friday with 101.38 million shares worth N555.96 million while Transcorp was second with 48.04 million shares worth N174.37 million.
It was followed by Oando with 41.72 million volume of shares worth N519.77 million.
WAPIC was fourth with 28.29 million shares worth N23.97 million while Unity Bank was last on the chart with 24.35 million shares worth N12.38 million.
WAPCO topped the gainers chart with a gain of N5.30k in its share price to close at N111.30k per share.
MRS in second spot added N4.88k to its share price to close at N52.51k per share while Dangote Cement was third gaining N2.00 in its share price to close at N187.00 per share.
Oando was fourth with a share price gain of N0.35k to close at N12.00 per share while Transcorp was last on the chart with a gain of N0.33k in its share price to close at N3.63k per share.
However, Guinness was ahead of others on the losers chart shedding N3.01k in its share price to close at N230.00 per share.
Nigerian Breweries was second with a loss of N1.40k in its share price to close at N168.60k per share while Okomu Oil in third spot lost N0.39k in its share price to close at N42.00 per share.
Redstarex was fourth with a share price loss of N0.22k to close at N4.28k per share while GTB was last on the chart with a loss of N0.20k in its share price to close at N26.60k per share.
