CBN sells $300m forex at WDAS
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) sold 300 million dollars at the rate of N155.76 to the dollar at its 71st Wholesale Dutch Auction System (WDAS) on Wednesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the CBN continued to maintain the exchange rate of N155.76 to the dollar at the last nine auctions.
The apex bank, in a summary of the auction posted on its Website, said that the 300 million dollars sold was the total amount offered for sale.
The number of banks that participated increased to 17 from the 16 that was recorded on Sept. 16.
The next auction will hold on Monday, Sept. 25. (NAN)
