Etisalat Nigeria has expressed its desire to partner with 70TH Precinct Limited, organisers of Nigeria App Summit, a mobile application conference aimed at delivering education, entertainment and networking in the country.

The telecommunications company in a statement said it would serve as the gold sponsor for the event.

According to the statement, the summit, which is at its maiden stage, is expected to bring together mobile app companies, developers, entrepreneurs, experts, venture capitalists and students to celebrate the power of mobile app technology.

The Chief Executive Officer of 70TH Precinct, Mr. Osamede Umweni, said the event would provide a platform to the businesses, consumers, companies, individual developers and the common public to gather and share latest technologies of mobile apps.

He said, “The exciting event will focus on lifestyle value of apps in gaming, entertainment, banking, enterprise, health, media, social causes, and local content.

“We live in an exciting and innovative era. Mobile phones have empowered enterprises and now smart phones and mobile apps allow the convenience of business practices all at the tip of their fingers. The genesis of this event was to build a platform to bridge the gap between consumers and businesses with the power of mobile app technology. We are delighted that Etisalat a major player in our ecosystem is joining us to develop our local content.”

He added that with several keynote sessions, an exhibition and a developer pitch zone, the summit would foster the sharing of ideas and build networking opportunities.
