Osun lawmaker empowers 700 farmers

No fewer than 700 farmers benefitted from agricultural inputs donated by the lawmaker representing Ifelodun/Odo-Otin/Boripe Federal Constituency of Osun State, Adeyinka Ajayi.

The farm implements which include fertilisers, insecticides, cutlasses, axes, improved seedlings, valued at several million of naira was to boost food production this planting season in the area.

While performing the distribution of the farm inputs at three locations, Ekonde for Ifelodun Local Governmnent Council, Inisa for Odo-Otin Local Government and Iragbiji for Boripe Local Government, Hon. Adeyinka Ajayi said that the gesture was to compliment the efforts the state government headed by Governor Rauf Aregbesola is making to boost food production in the state.

It would be recalled that similar gesture and cash as well as free farm land, had been provided by the state government to farmers in all the existing farm settlements and newly created ones.

Ajayi admitted the fact that the only way to assist the state government is to contribute his quota by assisting the farmers in boosting food production.

While calling on the people of the state to rally round the Governor Rauf Aregbesola led administration in its realisation of programmes and policies, Ajayi maintained that the people of the state have never had it so smooth and good like this in the past.

He declared that the people of the state had witnessed a complete transformation in all the sectors in the last two and half years adding that more dividends of democracy would be brought to the door steps of the people especially those at the grassroots level.
