Arik to acquire N44.5 billion new Bombardier aircraft

The management of Arik Airline on Thursday, disclosed that the company had signed a contract with Bombardier Aerospace, Canada, for the supply of new aircrafts.
Head of Public Communications,Ola Adebanji, who made this known in a press release in Lagos, said that the total sum of the contract was 297 million dollars (about N44.5 billion).

Adebanji said that Bombardier Aerospace would supply the airline with three CRJ 1000 NextGen aircrafts and four Q400 NextGen turboprop airliners.
“Based on the list price of the CRJ1000 NextGen and Q400 NextGen aircraft, the contract is valued at approximately 297 million dollars.
“Bombardier is evolving mobility worldwide by answering the call for more efficient, sustainable and enjoyable transportation everywhere.
“Our vehicles, services and most of all, our employees are what make us a global leader in transportation,’’ he said.
Adebanji said that Arik currently operates four CRJ900 aircrafts and two Q400 NextGen aircrafts.
