The All Share Index succumbed to profit takers in today’s market, losing 46 basis points.
The banking sector was depressed, it recorded 10 losers versus 3 winners. UBA (+9.92%), and Diamond (+1.97%) were the only notable bank stocks in the green. Union bank also put on 13 basis points.
Guinness(+0.17%) added 17, but Nigerian Breweries (-3.22%) weighed the breweries sector down.
Stocks of the petrol marketers were primarily bullish as only Total (-0.07%) shed points.
Forte (+4.94%), Eterna (+4.8%), and Oando (+0.15%) advanced.
Today’s overall performance drags the market’s year-to-date (ytd) performance to +3.13%.
456 million shares valued at N4.06 billion were traded today.
