Business Community Set for 2012 Quality Summit

By on December 3, 2012

No matter how well a product is advertised and packaged, once the quality is poor it completely cancels out  the good intentions of the company that developed it.

This therefore underscores the importance of Quality in ensuring valuable services and production from businesses and corporations. It can be clearly stated that the drive for maintaining quality in the operations of a business, is key to its relevance and competitive value in the markets.

So this year’s maiden edition of the Nigerian Quality Summit has already generated a lot of enthusiasm and interest from companies and business entities in the country, even as Nigeria re—asserts her position as a Nation that has great value for standards in production, manufacturing and even importation of standard products.

The initiative which is borne by the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON),  is a forum designed to create a platform for major business players and stakeholders in the economy to brainstorm and discuss on the ‘Role of Quality’ in bringing value to business operations in whatever capacity.

Slated for December 6, the conference has already seen a high level of subscription from businesses and companies that range from foams, beverages, service providers, cement, bottling, foods, breweries  and building equipments a sign that the summit promises to be electrifying.

Also, State Ministries of Trade and Commerce, and various Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the country have  registered and signified interest to attend the summit, a development which the Chairman of the Planning Committee Mr Biola Komolafe is very much pleased with.

Mr Komolafe also disclosed in an interview with Journalists that speakers from standard institutes of countries like Sweden, South Africa, Malaysia, South Korea and the International Standard Organization (ISO) for developing countries will grace the occasion.

He said “With experts from industrialised nations such as Sweden, Malaysia, South Korea, South Africa and a developing economy such as Kenya as well as the cream of Nigerian business leadership, the Nigeria Quality Summit 2012 is a great opportunity for organisations to interact and upgrade their efficiency”.
