Nigerian Stock Exchange Watch: ASI (-0.21%) Falls to Selling Pressure

Investors cashing out in preparation for the yuletide season were partly responsible for the All Share Index (ASI) drop of 0.21% today.
The banking sector was predominantly skewed to the sell side as 8 of 12 participants recorded downward price movement.
On the flip side, the foursome of UBA (+1.32%), FCMB (+1.23%), Skye (+0.51%), and Union (+0.55%) gained.
Nigerian Breweries (+2.97%) led the breweries sub-sector, whilst Guinness (-5%) was down.
Julius Berger (+3.09%) rose after being awarded the Lagos Ibadan Expressway contract earlier this week.
UACN (-5.77%) and Flour Mills (-2.54%) sustained losses in the day’s trading.
