U.S. Elections: Thrills and Anxiety as Polls Prepare for Opening

After many months of campaigning, debates  and political intrigues, the two major contenders for the U.S Presidency  Incumbent President Barack Obama and Republican Challenger Governor Mitt Romney will both return to their states to cast their vote and wait for the outcome of the elections.

From Chicago  the  hometown of President Obama to Massachussets the hometown of Governor Mitt Romney it will be thrills and anxiety as the elections begin, final vote is casted and the election results are announced.

A lot is at stake for America  because there are two paths for the Nation to chose either the ‘Top-down economic approach to building the economy’ or ‘Middle-income upward  approach to building the economy’, a choice on whether to endorse a ‘Comprehensive Federal Government healthcare programme’ or ‘State by State strategized healthcare system’.

Others are an economy that would see more tax burden on the high-income earners or levelled tax system for all levels. A choice  between more cuts on military spending and less cuts on military spending.

This is one election that has more undecided voters in political history and they would just go out to vote who they like not necessary what the candidates stand for.

In terms of political slangs, schemes, ads and attacks a lot has been seen in the whole build up to  the elections, one that will never be forgotten is Obama’s recent hit on Romney he said in one campaign about the Republican ‘I mean he keeps  changing his stand and flip-flopping and i guess i have an idea  of what he is suffering from i believe its ‘Romnesia’.

So ever since then  the ‘Romnesia’ word has been used on ads and even twitter comments about the perceived inconsistencies of the Governor Romney campaign trail.

For  Governor Romney said he wants to take America back  to the path of Leadership because the country he believed is  heading the way of Greece under ‘Obama’,  and the time has come to reclaim those great values of the nation.

At the climax of this election came the Hurricane Sandy which Political pundits believe should not adversely affect the voting process in states hit like New  Jersey as provisions has been made by the electoral commission.

Both Candidates know what is ahead of them and beyond the elections thrills and anxieties and where it will be happening,  the conclusion of the matter is that America has gone through a political bout of ‘Obamaromnesia’.
