Google and Microsoft head to court showdown

Google vs Microsoft

Beginning of the year witnessed the biggest technology court case in history, which was the ‘patent rights’ between American giant Apple corporation and South Korean electronics behemoth Samsung, it  was widely followed and people  learnt a lot about patenting rights and violations, but it also revealed how lucrative the tablet market had become.

Several months down the lane after the ruling that Samsung was to pay Apple $1billion, or infringements and violations, the globe is bracing up for another technology battle in two-weeks time.

This time its between internet giants Google Motorolla  and Software and Hardware global giants Microsoft and the issue at stake is the royalty deals and cuts they made with other companies on patented technology.

Whether its the tablet or smartphones both Google and Microsoft have battled over time to influence the software provision and system format for the mobile technology companies.

The November 13 court case in Seattle, Washington has both companies seeking to keep sensitive company information secret before the case, because of the high-impact and sensitivity of the perceived judgement.

Justice Robart the presiding judge of the case is to decide how big a royalty Motorolla deserves  from Microsoft on some of its wireless and  video patents.
