Oil Marketer Convicted of Drug Trafficking in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabian authorities convicted and imprisoned a Nigerian oil marketer of drug trafficking in August.
The convicted drug trafficker, Alhaji Muideen Mustapha, is the Secretary, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) Kwara STate chapter.
Saudi Arabian authorities are said to have found narcotics said to be cocaine concealed within yam flour inside the luggages of the man while he was traveling to the middle-Eastern country with his wife.
Speaking on the development, the chairman of IPMAN, Kwara state, Alhaji Bolaji Agbolade, said his colleagues were surprised by the development.
He said, “It is a sad development. The information is true. We are shocked. We are just waiting for him to come back. That act has dented his image. The incident had been referred to the national body of IPMAN for deliberation and necessary action. IPMAN Constitution is against such practise,”
The Oil Marketer’s prison term will end in December 2012.
