Cadbury Nigeria Appoints New Chief Executive

Cadbury Nigeria Plc has notified The Exchange of the appointment of Mr. Emil Moskofian as its new Managing Director to replace Mr. Alan Palmer who resigned his appointment with the company with effect from May 31, 2012. A British National, Moskofian was educated at University of London, England, where he bagged a BSc in Nuclear Engineering in 1988. He became a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants in 1990.

 

Between 1990 to 2010, Moskofian worked with the British American Tobacco Limited, serving the company in various capacities in different countries as listed below.

 

1990 – 1998, Finance Manager, UK Head and later assumed Senior Finance roles in Hungary and Russia

 

1998 – 1999, Finance Director, Malaysian Tobacco Company, a public listed company.

 

1999 – 2001, Finance Director, British American Tobacco, Bangladesh, a leading public listed company.

 

2001 – 2004, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Director/Finance Director, Korea (based in Seoul, South Korea).

 

2004 – 2007, Managing Director, British American Tobacco, Bangladesh based in Dhaka, Bangladesh)

 

2007 – 2008, Area Director, North Africa (based in Cairo, Egypt)

 

2009 – 2010, Managing Director, Hungary and Austria (based in Budapest, Hungary)

 

Until this appointment as an Executive Director and subsequently the Managing Director of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, Moskofian was the Regional Managing Director, Africa and Turkey, IFFCO – a leading manufacturer and marketer of fast moving Consumer Goods in the Middle East and Africa (based in UAE) between July 2010 – December 2011.

 

Emil Moskofian is married with two children and speaks English, Farsi, Armenian and Russian languages.
