CBN Boss Undertakes N 55 Million Personal Social Responsibility Initiative for Red Cross

Central Bank Deputy Governor, Tunde Lemo, has donated a N 55 million clinic to the Red Cross Society of Nigeria in Ogun State.

The CBN deputy governor handed the clinic over last Wednesday stating, “I was driven by human kindness to embark on this project. It is only in Nigeria that we have people who are blessed but care less about giving back to the society. People who have, should give back to the society as the government alone cannot do everything. The idea to construct the clinic was mooted two years ago, when I nursed the intention of investing in health care most especially at the primary health care level.”

National President of the The Red Cross Society, Rochas Owelle Okorocha who doubles as the Governor of Imo State thanked the CBN boss for the donation. He was represented at the event by Imo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Obi Njoku.

Njoku said, “No matter your position in life, there is still some little contribution and impact you can make on people.”
