Nigerian Stock Exchange Watch: Market Sustains Marginal Losses, Closes at 21,006
The Market succumbed to the bears due to selling pressure on some of the bourse highly capitalized stocks including Zenith Bank (-0.76%), Access (-1.83%), First Bank (-4.13%) and Guinness (-1.23%).
The All Share Index fell 0.26% to close at 21,006.30 and the market capitalization dropped to N 6.67 trillion.
FCMB led the banking sub-sector with a gain of 4.59%. Other leaders included UBA (+2.28%), and Stanbic (+1.45%). Marginal appreciation was recorded by Fidelity (+0.69%), and GTBank (+0.28%).
The Infrastructure sector was led by CCNN (4.86%), all the other participants were quiet in the days session.
Goldlink led the Insurance sub-sector picking a gain of 1.69%. GTAssure was down a 161 points, whilst Prestige lost a 154 points.
Oando fell by 156 points even as the rest of the Oil and Gas sector was neutral.
