Zenith Bank Bags Best Bank in Nigeria Award on Corporate Governance

Zenith Bank of Nigeria Plc has been awarded the ‘Best Bank in Nigeria’ owing to it high standards of corporate governance.

The award was bestowed upon Nigeria’s leading financial institution by the World Finance magazine, in recognition of the bank’s position as a pace-setter in setting corporate governance best practices for the rest of the Nigerian banking sector to emulate.

Zenith Bank joins a list of awardees that include global blue chip companies such as Toyota, Royal Dutch Shell, Globe Telecoms, Eskom Holdings, Microsoft, HSBC, and other notable global institutions.

The Managing Director of Zenith, Godwin Emefiele, received the award on behalf of the bank at a ceremony held last Saturday. He dedicated the award to the bank’s customers’, thanking them for their loyalty and patronage of the last 22 years.

The MD also thanked the management and staff for their professionalism and commitment in taking the bank to the heights it has attained.
