Ribadu to Transform Oil industry in 60 days

The Petroleum  Special Task force on  Tuesday has been given  60 working days within  to probe and clean up the mess in the oil industry.

At the moment, the task force is being  headed by  Mallam Nuhu Ribadu the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke who disclosed this in Abuja said that the industry had embarked on fruitless effort towards reformation due to some personal interest, and it was time for a perfect reform in order to frustrate the entrenched interests and to revamp the lost confidence and trust..

The  minister who reiterated the mission of  the task  force said it was established to enhance probity and accountability in the
operations of the petroleum industry.

At the inauguration ceremony, the Action Congress Flag bearer, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu asserted that it was a national assignment that must be handled with all dedication.

According to Ribadu, transparency in the  oil industry will affect nigeria and  the international oil companies in the most positive way.

“Those who play by the rule will enjoy the support of all while those who don’t should get the red card. We are coming with open mind for this assignment,” he said.

Ribadu. Pleaded with people who are  in possession of valuable
documents that would assist the task force in it job should bring them out.
