Caverton Helicopters Secures Multi-Billion 5 Year Contract with ExxonMobil in Cameroon

Caverton Helicopters, a leading indigenous provider of aviation logistics services for the oil and gas industry has secured a multi-million dollar five-year agreement with the Cameroon Oil Transportation Company (COTCO).

COTCO is owned by Chad, Cameroon, Exxon Mobil, Chevron and Petronas in a joint venture with Exxon Mobil owning the operatorship rights.

Under the contract, Caverton Helicopters will provide onshore pipeline surveillance and passenger transfer services to COTCO, a special venture for extracting and transporting crude oil from the Doba oil fields in Chad, a landlocked country, to Cameroon via a 1070-kilometre underground pipeline that runs through three pump stations, a pressure reduction station, and an offshore export terminal.

Chairman of Caverton Group, Mr. Remi Makunjuola, stated, “This is a major leap for our company and for Nigeria. As a company, it furthers our goal of becoming the premier offshore logistics service provider in sub-Saharan Africa. But it also shows increasing confidence in the competence of Nigerian companies and it aligns with the economic diplomacy advocacy of the Federal Government.”

The contract will span aviation logistics and passenger services.
