Nigeria Stock Exchange Watch: The Bull Grazes in the Green

The Nigerian Stock Market closed in bulls’ territory on the last trading day of the week. Friday saw the All Share Index pick up +0.48% to close at 20,411.17.

Fueled by low valuations and dividend yield speculative buying, the market saw all the sub-indices appreciate. Banking and Insurance gained 1.41% and 1.44% respectively. Oil and Gas was up 1.35%, Food and Beverages inched upwards by 0.34%.

UBA’s attractive price caused the stock to appreciate by 5%, Access (+4.98%), Skye (+4.84%), and Sterling (+4.55%) also saw their stock spiral northbound.

Other gainers were top tiers, First Bank (+1.32%), Zenith (+0.16%) and GTBank (+0.21%).

Goldlink (+5%), GTAssur (+4.63%), and Continental Re (+4.35%) all soared upwards causing the insurance sector to remain upbeat.

Oando (+4.98%), and Eterna (+4.75%) all appreciated significantly in the day’s trading.
