PENGASSAN Justifies DPR’s N27 million per Employee Compensation Budget

Following the recent revelations concerning the nature of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) N30 billion compensation budget, senior members of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) have sought to justify the anomaly. The compensation package which amounts to N 27 million per staff if shared equally amongst its workforce of about 1,200 employees would rank as one of the highest in the country.

Comrade Isah Ibrahim, the Branch Chairman of PENGASSAN has stated that the DPR merits its compensation levels due to the large amount of revenue it earns for the country.

According to the union boss the parastatal generates excess revenue for the country. Speaking to newsmen in Lagos yesterday he said, “we were given a target of N641,173,233,000 in 2011 but our actual collection amounted to N1,087,399,146,497 and we had surplus of N446,225,913,497”.

“In 2010 we had the target of N494,553,940,000, our actual collection amounted to N698,420,674,729 then we had a surplus of N203,866,734”.

    THEN ,IF NIGERIANS WILL GO BY THIS .

    NIGER DELTANS WIL EARN 1 MILLION EACH FOR FEEDING THE NATIONS.

    COMRADE ISAH INBRAHIM MUST BE A VERY UNPATRIOTIC MAN . PEOPLE WITH SUCH CHARACTERS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO HEAD CERTAIN OFFICES.

    IF HE COULD REASON LIKE THAT , IT MEANS THE NIGER DELTA FROM WHICH ALL THESE MONEY HE IS GENARATING SHOULD ALSO BE PAID HEIGHT FOR FEEDING THE NATIONS AND MULTINATIONALS.

    IF NIGER DELTANS SHOULD GO LIKE THAT , THEN THERE SALARIES MUST BE HEIGHT .
    FG MUST CUT THIS USELESS COST .

    ITS UNJUSTIFIABLE AND AN UNPATRIOTIC TO THE NATION ..
