Former Finance Minister Idika Kalu Drafted to Lead National Refineries Task Force

Former Finance Minister and foremost economist, Kalu Idika Kalu,  has been drafted by the Federal Government to lead the National Refineries Task Force (NRTF).

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Petroleum, the Refineries Task Force is mandated to ensure self-sufficiency of petroleum products in Nigeria within a strong framework in the shortest possible time.

The National Refineries Special Task Force is mandated to, among other terms of reference without prejudice to the on-going programme of rehabilitation and turn-around maintenance of Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna Refineries, and the building of Greenfield refineries, the National Refineries Special Task Force is mandated to:

• Conduct a high-level assessment of Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna Refineries, review all past reports and assessments and produce a Diagnostic Report complete with a Change Journey Map;
Review the operations of Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna Refineries, with a view to improving efficiency and commercial viability. The findings of this review should be part of the Diagnostic Report;
• Work with a world-class firm to audit the finances of Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna Refineries, and produce audited accounts over the past 2 years ending 31st December, 2011 and:

• Design investment models and a road map to self-sufficiency in local production of petroleum products in Nigeria; and produce a report, complete with timelines and milestones within the next 60 working days.

   And TELL me why the crops of thieves starting from the GROUP
   managing Directors are STILL in office.

   (1) Please ASK yourself, Have these managers respected there
   VALUES .

    

   (2) With the huge fraud within the NNPC and its agents, the managers,
   starting from GROUP Managing directors have failed Woefully, defrauding the
   NATION and bastardising with huge abuse the oil sector which ought to keep
   every Nigerian happy.

    

   (3) No body is above the law , these guys have committed
   crimes, relocating them within NNPC is Nothing More like a MOCKERY to Nigerians
   .

    

   MADAM Minister IT’S A BIG SHAME, you cannot take action
   on the thieves .
