Nigerian Stock Exchange Watch: Market Capitalization Dips by 0.77%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange opened the week on a bearish note, as the ASI shed 0.77% to close at 20,731.72.
Several bluechip companies went to the bears today due to an increase in participants willing to off load their shares. Notable bluechips like UBA, Oando, FirstBank and Guinness were all victims of the trend.
The volume of shares traded today decreased by 7% from Friday’s session, also the value of shares traded decreased by 67%.
Market capitalization of the bourse currently stands at $ 40.49 billion or N 6.5 trillion.
