Refineries to Operate at 90% Capacity in 2013 – NNPC Boss

The Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has stated that Nigeria’s refineries will achieve 90% capacity in 2013.

The GMD stated that a schedule was already in place to facilitate for the Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) of the refineries. The Port Harcourt refinery is slated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2012, followed by the Kaduna refinery in Q1, 2013 and finally Warri refinery in Q3, 2013. The refineries will also begin to meet their increased capacity quotas in the same quarter as the TAM.

According to Oniwon, “The three refineries will be able to produce 20.3 million litres of PMS, 9.2 million litres of kerosene and 15.3 litres of diesel as compared to the average national daily consumption of 35 million litres of PMS, 10 million litres of kerosene and 12 million litres of diesel.”

He also said that the three Greenfield refineries slated to be built by Chinese companies will not only make Nigeria self-sufficient in its refined products consumption, but also make the country a net-exporter of refined products.

Oniwon stated, ““NNPC aims to accelerate the construction of new refineries in Nigeria to stem the flood of imported refined products into the country, currently estimated at 10 billion dollars.”

He disclosed that the new refineries could be the biggest ever of its magnitude in Africa.

    These stories are old from The group managing director.
    The new thing is that Nigerians found and discovered the huge and alarming fraud taking place within the NNPC and its agents.

    Decieving Nigerians and inflicting pains directly or indirectly as controlled by Your office as the Group manging Director.

    You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
    Your duties covers and includes .

    “To ensure a Total effective management system is in place .

    That you failed to do until ,it was discovered . You deserve Jail.

    Your office function is in question , no body is having any personal issues with you , but the negeligence of your office to function effectively as Group magaing director was sleepy and useless , be it forces from Political office holders , it dosent matter .

    what matters, is that  you are a responsible Personal  by virtur of your office to ensure professional decency in NNPC and its agenst is complied .

    Technimont issue again was part of JGC and they build the Olefin package of the Port harcourt refinery which is just abouit 18% of the Total package .

    Again , Wrong Decision, the original builders of the Port Hacourt Refinery is chiyoda . For effective completion and avoidance of stories later .
    It is advisable that third parties been remove from this business and deal with the original builders of the Refinery who have total knowledge of the design , material and consurmable, construction errors,modifications , Technical operating manuals and details  history of the commissioing and start up etc.,
