Nigerian Stock Exchange: ASI Resumes Freefall

The Nigerian Stock Exchange has continued its descent into negative territory, shedding 66 basis points at the end of the session.

The All Share Index retreated further to close at 20,683.46, bringing the year-to-date performance to -0.23%.

Activity levels averaged out at 187 million shares traded, with a value of N 1.16 billion

The banking sector was exceptionally bearish as no participant recorded an appreciation in today’s session. The breweries sub sector following the trend, had no gainers.

Fringe players were the winners in today’s market as NAHCO and Prestige carried the market today.
