Earnings Forecast: Nestle Nigeria Says Net Income To Swell 25% in Q1, 2012

Nestle Nigeria Plc, manufacturers, marketers and distributors of food products in Nigeria has released its Q1, 2012 earnings forecast to the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

The company expects to achieve N 22.7 Billion turnover in the first quarter of next year. This represents an improvement of 11% over the N 20.5 Billion the company earned in Q1, 2011.

Profit Before Tax is put by the company at N 3.6 Billion, an increase of 16%  from the N 3.1 Billion it recorded in Q1, 2011.

Net Income is also expected to swell by a respectable 25% to N 2.77 Billion from N 2.2 Billion recorded in Q1, 2011.

Nestle stock is currently trading at N 400 on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, an improvement of 8.53% from year onset levels.

    The mixed reactions of investors to the recent  earnings forecast of some companies  shows that investing public are still watching this market. Numbers from companies will continued to court but more when liquidity in the system improves.
