Stock Market Watch: ASI Reverses Previous Days Gains

The Stock Market reversed its gains yesterday and fell by 0.11% bringing the All share index to close at 20,404.23.

Bearish sentiment prevailed in the banking sector, as only four counters recorded gains today. Zenith and First Bank were the only top tiers in the green, recording 8 and 93 points respectively.

Skye and Wema Bank also gained 20 and 357 points apiece. The big losers were Sterling and Access shedding 420 and 303 points. Unity also joined their ranks shedding 323 points. Fidelity lost 244 points, as FCMB, GTBank and Stanbic also lost points.

The big gainers were OkomuOil, RedStar, Custodian and Allied, ikeja Hotels, and Eterna Oil gaining 4.98%, 4.95%, 4.85%, 4.73% and 4.71% respectively.

Top losers were Dangote Sugar, ETI, and Bagco shedding 4.91%, 4.83%, and 4.55%.

Over 249 million shares valued at N 3.57 Billion were traded today.
