Femi Robinson Launches Books today
Femi Robinson of the defunct Village Headmaster fame, Launches four drama play books at the Lagos Country Club today.
Amongst the books include ‘Osho Igbo’ and ‘Aja Nta Nla’. These books are two drama books that depicts the culture of states and tourism in Nigeria. However, they point specifically to Oshogbo and Nigeria respectively.
Aja Nta Nla , according to him, is a satire and interpretation of events that had taken place in Nigeria in the last 49 years, explaining that the title of the play was coined out of the popular Yoruba saying, Aja to ja ni ita nla a Yoruba statement meaning ‘A fight at the Arena’. This book was staged early this year to commemorate the Anniversary of Nigeria on October 01st.
Femi Robinson stated that the book launch is not going to be for a few therefore, it is going to be launched at an incredible affordable price such that secondary school students would be able to afford it. He said this is so because he believes that the knowledge which invoked the purpose of these books is so that people all over the world would be enlightened about what Nigeria has to offer in terms f culture, theartre and especially tourism.
Dignitaries to honour the occasion includes The Executive Governor of Lagos state, Governor Raji Fashola SAN, The Governor of Osun State, The Governor of Ogun state etc.
According to Femi Robinson, Leaders of our states are is dedicated to fallen heroes togetherness and unity, the exemplary life and the leadership role of some many tourism people that have dwelled in our land to spend the rest of their lives and impact into our culture. This would be depicted at the book launch. The message is unity.
Femi Robinson said that it gladdens his heart that he would impact into the new generation the message in his heart by God the beauty in drama which is his heart desire e and perhaps to bring back to life to the theatre as well as give the younger ones the opportunity to excel, among other things.
