Record breaking striker, Jude Aneke has been called up into the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming friendlies. The Kaduna United hitman who currently tops the NPL scoring charts replaces Osaze Odenwiegie, who is currently injured.

“I spoke with Osaze yesterday and he told me he did not feature for his club in their last game because he was injured and would not be fit in time for these games,” Keshi explained. “So I decided to call up Jude Aneke. He is the highest goal scorer in the Nigerian league, and he has scored a record 20 goals which is impressive so he deserves to be in the national team.”

Aneke set a new Premier League scoring record when he hit his 20th goal of the season last week. The forward, is rumoured to be heading to Belgian club, Genk in the winter transfer window.
