7UP 2Q Earnings Refreshing, Net Income Up 9%

The management of 7UP Bottling Company Plc, makers and distributorsof 7Up, Pepsi , Mirinda and Mountain dew brands of soft drink beverages has released its 2Q, 2011 earnings.

Turnover at the end of the first two quarters stands at N 26.9 Billion, up 18% from the same period last year when gross earnings stood at N 22.8 Billion.

Gross Profit (PBT) was up 9.5% to N 1.33 Billion from N 1.21 Billion over the same period last year.

Following the trend, net income was up 9.1% to close the second quarter at N 1.06 Billion up from N 971 Million the preceding year.

The company’s stock is currently trading at N 48, up 23% from its price at the beginning of the year.

This is one of the best performing stocks on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2011.
