All Share Index Comes Out Swinging, Up 1.01%

The All Share Index commenced the week on a positive note appreciating by 1.01% to close at 20,071.36.

Winners in the banking sector included Diamond (+4.95%), Sterling (+3.82%), FCMB (+3.75%), GTB (+2.38%). First Bank, Skye Bank and Stanbic IBTC also recorded gains.

Losers in the banking sector today were UBA (-4.75%), Access (-0.40%), Wema (-4.55%), and Ecobank (-3.56%).
Top gainers across the market today were Dangote cement (+4.2%), IkejaHotel (+4.87%), GT Assurance (+4.31%).

The Food and Beverages Sector put on a dismal performance with Dangote Sugar down 4.92%. Other losers across the market were Julius berger (-4.98%), Multitrex (-4.94%), Ashaka (-3.57%) and PZ (-3.40%).

The total volume of stocks traded were 295 million units value at N 1.5 Billion.
