Arik Air now accepts International Credit Cards Payments Online

By on September 14, 2011

Arik Air has introduced the option to pay with international credit cards-visa, master card-for tickets purchased on its website.

The airline’s Senior Vice President in charge of commercial, Kevin Steele, said in Lagos that international credit card payment would be available anywhere in the world and that transactions would be done in dollars, British pounds or South African Rand.

He explained that when accepting credit card payments, the airline would take advantage of the additional security measures such as verified by visa and master card secure code systems as well as an advanced fraud prevention system made available by the payment service provider.

“The introduction of the credit card option will now make payment easier for our customers as well as expedite bookings without having to go to a sales office, travel agent or airport ticketing office as has been the practice up until now. The whole process is simpler and more convenient to the passenger and we have taken every step to ensure that it is a secure system.

“Whilst this is a major step for Arik as well as our regular customers, we are still working on a solution to implement a local Nigerian Naira credit card payment solution. We will hopefully be able to offer this service to all passengers very soon,” said Steele.
