NBC Shares on full Suspension, to be delisted on Sept 07, 2011
The shares of Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Plc, bottlers of Coke, has been placed on full suspension following receipt of their application for delisting from the daily official list.
The development means that there will be no price movement in the shares of the company.
The company had earlier in the year applied for delisting from the daily official list of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. With this, all the ordinary shareholders of the company’s shares listed will cease to trade the shares on the Exchange.
Nigerian Bottling Company Plc (NBC) will cease to exist as a listed company on the bourse of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) ; a place it had been for the last thirty-eight years (1973)
CCH, the world’s second-largest bottler of Coca-Cola, which already holds 66.4 percent of the Nigerian company (NBC), said it will de-list the local unit from the stock exchange on September 7, according to its scheme document.
