Minimum Wage: Governors Consider Staggered Payment

Governors are considering the option of a staggered payment of the N18,000 minimum wage to their workers to douse the tension already generated by the National Minimum Wage Act, Bauchi State Governor, Malam Isa Yuguda, has said.
This came as the joint negotiation meeting between the federal and state governments with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) on the implementation of the minimum wage Monday ended in a stalemate.
